Review revisit - Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser

I did this review back in November and now that I’ve finished every last bit I wanted to share my thoughts with you. From start to finish I have loved this cleanser. It contains Amazonian White Clay and you know I love anything to do with dirt, clay, and mud. It’s a foaming cleanser and makes my skin feel extra clean. Even though this says it’s an exfoliator, it doesn’t contain any scrubby bits in it. Usually that would annoy me but this has been the exception with it’s squidgy, cottage cheese consistency and fresh smell.

In my review I said this was the perfect cleanser for winter and at the time it was – until the colder weather came along. I was using this every few days but had to go down to using just one a week otherwise my skin would have been super dry as the clay really absorbs the excess oils from your face. I did try this my with Clarisonic but it didn’t work so well. I think the clay makes it too thick to move around as it didn’t foam up. However, this is on my re-buy list but I’m going to wait until May/June to repurchase it when I have my Summertime chip pan complexion.

This is available at Mankind for £17.50.

Hi Stacie – If you have oily skin then you’ll love this. And so what if you already have other cleansers….women need variety! Thanks for visiting x

I agree! We have to have variety in our “gookie” collections!!! I really do need to try this! Clinique is working very well for me…love all the products i have. I was looking at thios cleanser last weekend at Nordstroms. I needed some things from M.A.C and Kiehls is right next to it. it is on my list for my monthly gookie buys for April!

Hello Lela – I think you will really like this as we have the same oily complexions. I’ve also bought the mask but I haven’t had time to try it yet.

    Lubbies!

i actually found this a bit too drying for my combination skin in the winter, but might give it another go in the summer as it did make my skin feel really clean. i also bought the toner and the mask but not hugely impressed.

Hi Amina – I’m so glad you stopped by. I know what you mean about it being to drying. I never thought that would be possible with my oily face. Shame the other stuff didn’t work for tho! That means you get to try more stuff right? xoxo
