Quick review - KIKO Scrub & Peel Wipes

As I don’t spend loads of money on makeup, KIKO is a brand that is perfect for me. It’s inexpensive but good quality and I absolutely love their nail polish and eyeliners. Even though their shops are teeny tiny I’ve never looked at their skincare, I’m always drawn to their wall of nail colours and lipsticks for my mom who also now a huge KIKO fan.

I was talked into buying these wipes by the very attractive Italian male sales assistant at the Shepherds Bush Westfield Mall. He noticed I had been swatching eye and lip colours and instead of using the cotton balls and makeup remover they provide, he took my hand and led to me to the wipes. He gently removed the smudges of every green eyeliner they do and talked about the benefits of using the wipes. To be honest I was too enraptured by his accent and beautiful face to care what he said. After he presented my polished hand back to me I couldn’t say no to buying a pack.

KIKO Scrub and Peel wipes

These aren’t the usual daily wipes to remove makeup that are found in Boots – but twice a week treatment with Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Vitamin E contained within the wipes. The wipes themselves have a soft and a scrubby side which of course is part of the novelty. They are also pleasantly scented which makes them a pleasure to use. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve mostly used these to remove facial makeup with the soft side and then turned the wipe over to use it like a facial scrub.

I don’t know if I’ve seen any benefit from using them but it wouldn’t put me off buying them again because the packaging is good for travelling. If you used these as recommended this pack will last for a few months which is pretty good value for £5.90 per pack. I know a lot beauty bloggers don’t like facial wipes but I’m not opposed to using them for convenience. If I happen upon that beautiful Italian man from the KIKO store at Westfield again I’m sure he could convince me to buy them and anything else he might want to sell me!

I’m jealous! There are no attractive male assistants at my local Kiko store. I’d definitely go there more often if there were lol. Instead, here there are just a couple of annoying girls who try to sell you everything that’s in the store the moment you step foot inside.

I’ve never paid much attention to their wipes, but maybe I should try these. Their scrubby side intrigues me..

I think the wipes are good to keep in your handbag this time of year when you feel a bit grubby and they are good for clean your hand after swatching products!

I found the KIKO stores in Paris to have the annoying girls you mentioned but I think that goes for most beauty brands! xoxo

The male sales assistant is a pro, he is certainly doing a good job at selling by showing the benefits. The package is indeed good for traveling, esp. if you travel a lot.

Hola Sergio! Maybe it was you that helped me, I was in the store last September. I might be sending a friend of mine to see you when she moves to London so I’ll be in touch!
