My holiday empties

Jun 18, 2012 Bath & Body, Skincare 11 Comments

Well I’m back in the UK after drinking my own body weight in iced tea, relaxing on the porch, and making my mom and dad go to 5 different Wal-marts so I could find a certain shower gel. Ah the life of a crazed enthusiastic beauty blogger!

And can you Adam and Eve it – more empties! I made sure this time I packed wisely and brought my nearly finished products with me instead of full size things like I stupidly did last time.

So from right to left top to bottom:

Kyoku for Men Face Wash – Although this is really nice I doubt I would buy it again as there are more exciting face washes out there but I would recommend you try Kyoku for Men products they are fab!

Haus of Gloi The Brier Path body scrub – As usual this scrub itself is divine although I wasn’t so keen on the scent as it was a bit too floral for me. C’est la vie!

Billy Jealousy Sucker Punch Face Scrub – Now this has Tahitian Black sand which is right up my street but I had a few issues with it which I will explain in a full review tomorrow.

Natura Ekos Castanha Soothing Hand Balm - I got this about 18 months ago from a Mexican beauty swap and I’ve used it sparingly as it is very hard to come by, it was only sold in a few places in South and Central America. There is now a shop in Paris though so I shall be heading there next time I go. I’ve already got a waiting list of friends and family who want some – it’s that good!

Molton Brown Shave Oil – James got this from Mankind as he wanted to try it, he said it was alright but nothing special so we won’t be buying it again.

Lucky Tiger Head to Tail Shampoo & Shower Gel - I’m so glad to see the back of this rubbish stuff. Never ever again!

Korres Hair & Scalp Scrub – I can’t use this as it makes my hair too greasy but James loves it, I think this is his third tube.

Alpha H Micro Cleanse – I really love this stuff and I would re-buy it. It’s a gentler cleanser than I’m used to but works really well in the colder months when my face can’t take such a hard beating!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – I won this in a blog contest but James used all it himself and he loved it. I’m sure we will purchase this.

Haus of Gloi Litchi Milk body lotion – I won this last year in another blog contest and it’s taken me ages to finish as it last so long – fabulous stuff!

Korres Body Butter – This took me ages to use as well as it’s very thick and didn’t absorb easily. Also the scent was a bit funky as it was yoghurt – I don’t know what I expected it to smell like though Doh!

Aussie Aussome Volume – This is meant to be a two in one shampoo and conditioner but it didn’t work for me. It’s a good shampoo though so I would buy it again although I would just go for the regular shampoo.

Jurlique Rose Shower Gel – Fabulous shower gel really high quality very much recommended will definitely buy again and will try some other things from the range.

Well this lot will have cleared some space for my new goodies – James has already started using my new stuff too how dare he! Oh and before you ask I left these at my parents house – they didn’t get dragged back to England with me. I know I’m nuts but even I have my limits!

It is so satisfying to leave a whole bunch of empties behind isn’t it! Very impressive. I just bought some alpha h products so I’m looking forward to trying it out.
    Welcome back!!

I love the Aloe Vera cleanser – you stick it right in your eye to get all your makeup off and it doesn’t sting! xoxo

That’s a great pile of empties! I’ve recently started using up my stash and it’s such an amazing feeling when you get to the bottom of a bottle! I have to agree with James on the Korres scalp scrub, my whole family uses it now.

Yes it is very satisfying to use up stuff and I think you have to be a beauty blogger to fully appreciate it.

I was kind of disappointed when I got the scalp scrub as I thought there would actually be scrub in it which is stupid as it would scratch your scalp right….. xoxo

Yes it was lovely in Tenn and good to see my parents and actually get some sunshine. Now I won’t feel so cheated about the summer! xoxo

You know what makes me impress on this blog? Those preserved stuffs of used and empty bottles and sachets body scrubs and skin moisturizers. I don’t usually keep them specially when it is already use. You just prove us that you are very absolute nature lover.

I’m not quite as bad as you , but there’s about 15 shower gels in my bathroom (and that’s excluding body scrubs.. Another 15 if them). I have TBS’s ones, Lush ones, S&G, Philosophy, N-Spa… I’m running out of space now so think we (boyfriend & I) will have to use them up. And I’m the same as you when it comes to Lynx etc. I’ve banned Lynx! He’s using S&G’s and Ted Baker’s body sprays atm.
