I’ve often thought I should make a conscious effort to review different brands on the blog or at least that seemed the nice thing to do. And then when I go to read my list of bazillion blogs I see tons of reviews from (insert popular brand here) over and over again. Temptalia has made a living out of photographing every MAC collection to death and then some, so from this point forward if you don’t want to see another Haus of Gloi review then look away now!
I don’t think I can ever praise HoG creator Britton enough for her amazing ability to create scents that quite frankly are God-like. Haus of Gloi came on my radar when I first started blogging and I eventually won some products from Katie (My Lips But Better) and then I realised I had been missing out BIG TIME! And now orders get placed several times a year for their various seasonal delights and standard stock. My latest acquisitions are Who Needs Love Pumpkin Butter and Body Scrub and Elevenses Pumpkin Butter.
The Haus Sez – Who Needs Love
A mahogany box filled with chocolaty orbs, coated in crystallized coffee – filled with a pomegranate and raspberry filling. Who needs love when you have something this decadent?
I guess this is the equivalent of saying chocolate is better than sex right? This scent changes as you wear it, at first it’s quite musky, then coffee enters the room and later on you are tickled by the raspberry and chocolate.
The Haus Sez – Elevenses
Not quite breakfast and not quite lunch, it’s the little snack in between. Bring out the old cracked china! Tiny, little, fluffy orange cakes, sugar-coated toasty almonds and a wee steaming cup of black tea!
If you love tea then you will want to cover yourself in this from head to toe. There is nothing better than sitting at your desk as smelling like tea & cakes. James has started pinching my Gloi, says his got dry skin on his arms, WHATEVER!
So next on my Gloi hit list will be Vice, Twice as Nice and from their summer range Beguiled if they make it again. I got Beguiled last year and I didn’t buy enough so I shall be stocking up proper this time.
