Every now and again I am confronted with something that reminds me what a crazy planet we live on. I saw this on the shelf at Tesco a few weeks ago and it promptly went into the blue shopping basket. For a split second I was possessed by a demon who told me at that very moment I couldn’t live without Shea Butter ‘enriched’ loo roll. And then on the way home with buyer’s remorse, I wondered why on earth would I need it?
With products like these in existence its hard to grasp that there is a double dip (possible triple dip) recession going on. It wasn’t more expensive that the usual name brands but I feel like an idiot for thinking this is something I need. As much as I love my beauty products I do tend to purchase with care and normally don’t buy things for the sake of it.
Have you bought anything recently that you could have done without? What lured you in? Tell us in the comments below!

Lol, we don’t have shea butter toilet paper in Argentina, but we do have aloe vera enriched ones! I always thought it was funny how they add all this things to basic products. One of the most unnecessary things I bought was a very expensive sea salt that was already seasoned…it wasn’t worth the price, but it felt like I needed it so bad! I hate when that happens.

LOL – Seasoned Sea Salt! It’s amazing what we can be convinced to buy without even thinking about it. Well I safely say that you aren’t missing anything with the Shea Butter toilet paper – I didn’t notice a difference….
Thanks for your comment xoxo

haha, I haven’t seen this! Personally advertising for loo roll, sanitary towels etc really bothers me in general, we need these things so advertising isn’t really going to persuade me into buying one product or another I’m just going to grab what is on the shelf when I need it.
I can’t think of a specific product that has lured me, but I am willing to bet it was beauty related!

I actually think it sounds very comforting and if I can find some in the Boston area I just might try a roll.

Hey Curly Aysh – I guess I’m the only one that was persuaded by the thought of softer bum cheeks then!
